The William Davidson Institute's (WDI) Base of the Pyramid Initiative is a global leader in knowledge creation, innovative thought dissemination, capacity building, and co-development of BOP Ventures. The BOP Initiative focuses on understanding and facilitating organizational change while simultaneously exploring the links between a BOP strategy and poverty alleviation.

WDI is located at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The BoP Initiative is directed by BoP notable Ted London (former director of the Base of the Pyramid Learning Lab at the University of North Carolina).
